A national search is underway for the Senior Vice President for Advancement (SVP) who will serve as a thought leader, coach, and mentor in building a culture of philanthropy at all levels of the organization and provide strategic counsel and direction to engage trustees, volunteers, executives, and staff in successfully advancing the Foundation’s fundraising goals and related initiatives.

Reporting directly to the President of the Foundation, the Senior Vice President serves as a key member of the executive team alongside the Chief Operating Officer and the Foundation Trustees and a dedicated team of development professionals and support staff to lead the planning, policy development, budgeting, implementation, measurement, and reporting for a comprehensive, donor-centric development program that attracts significant annual, major, and planned gifts to advance the mission of the Fraternity.

Recognizing the tremendous potential represented by the 160,000 living alumni of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, the Foundation has made a significant commitment to build its capacity and infrastructure in seeking increasing levels of philanthropic support that make a greater impact on individual chapters and that sustains lifelong commitments to Phi Delt Nation.

Phi Delta Theta strongly believes that the SVP should be a member of the fraternity who shares the passion and commitment to The Bond that seeks to mold each brother into a greater version of himself.  The SVP will be responsible to raise philanthropic support for the funding objectives of the Phi Delt 2020 Strategic Plan and to complete the current Building on the Bond Campaign to create a $20 million endowment.

Updated Criteria:  Qualified candidates should have at least 7 years of executive-level professional fundraising experience, especially in major gifts.  Though the main office is at the Phi Delta Theta General Headquarters on the campus of Miami University Oxford, OH, the Senior Vice President will not be required to relocate to Oxford and may telecommute with the understanding that a significant amount of time will be required in Oxford to lead and support the Foundation staff.  Phi Delta Theta offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.

The Burcham Solutions Group, LLC has been engaged to conduct the search.  More information can be found at  All interested candidates should submit a letter of interest and resume to Timothy R. Burcham, CFRE at
